Safe, what you thinking about UFC tomorrow?

I already wrote my picks:

Ben Henderson over Frankie Edgar — Frankie’s toughest challenge to date. You thought Gray was a tough challenge? I believe Henderson is a much tougher guy to face. The strength and phenomenal conditioning he has is just part of his attributes along with extremely well rounded skills. If Frankie DOES get dropped by Bendo, Bendo will finish him. No ifs and definitely no buts. But I think it’s going to a decision. Definite pick for fight of the night.

Rampage Jackson over Ryan Bader — Bader will struggle to take Rampage down. That’s what I’m predicting. So he’ll be forced to stand and bang with ‘Page. I wouldn’t say Bader is totally careless, but the Tito fight proved he leaves openings at close range and if Jackson closes the distance, I think he will knock him down and finish him. If not, decision.

Yoshihiro Akiyama over Jake Shields — Akiyama will win due to extreme sexiness that’ll blind Shields and leave him open for a plethora of judo throws. This is more of a ‘I hope’ pick. I like Akiyama. Brings it every time. It’s sad his ascent in the UFC has not been slowly built. It seems that foreign fighters get thrown into the deep end when they are popular in their home regions (see: Dan Hardy). It’s like Akiyama has been thrown under a bus numerous times. Leben, Bisping and Belfort are all top contenders and tough fights. Jake Shields in your first fight at 170 is just goddamn ridiculous and tough. But I hope he wins. I like him better than Jake and he’s much more entertaining in his fights.

Anthony Pettis over Joe Lauzon — If anything, Pettis’ can dfeend submissions. He is not Melvin Guillard. Lauzon is going to have a hard time on the feet and on the ground if he cannot hold down Pettis and stop him from waving his legs around in an attempt to lock in an armbar or something. I like Joe. But I don’t think he’s getting this. Not by a long shot.

Other Picks: Kongo, Okami, Hioki, Gomi, Yamamoto, Cantwell, Mizugaki and Zhang.

Thanks for asking!
