WHAT THE FUCK BIOWARE? THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING? THAT WAS THE GAYEST ENDING EVER. IT WAS GAYER THAN THE EARLY ENDING IN CRASH BANDICOOT WHERE YOU RODE OFF WITH THAT PRETTY FEMALE BANDICOOT. FUCKING FAGGOTS. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. PIECE OF SHIT MOTHERFUCKIN—Hahahahahahaha, gotchya! Check my thoughts with some spoilers past the read more.
So, for the past week and a bit, I’ve been hooked on Mass Effect 3. Taking my boy Joel ‘Nigga’ Shepard through the game, it was pretty awesome. The gameplay was smooth, the RPG element of the game was just awesome and plus, the whole experience was just…wow.
What are my thoughts on the ending? It’s good. In fact, if I put it together with the actual final few missions, it was pretty epic (although battling three brutes at one time will be a bitch on Insanity). From killing Kai Leng to actually making the final choice of the game, it was just unbelievable and felt pretty fulfilling when I got to that choice. I couldn’t bare to be a bad guy or indecisive, so I chose to destroy the reapers. I got to romance Liara before shit hit the fan (awwww yeeeeeeah).
The ending sequence got people riled up. Personally, I loved it. It finished off the ‘saga’ with the reapers. Gave it a proper sense of closure. And Shepard went out like a real war hero, sacrificing himself for the good of humanity. When I first viewed it, I said I was indifferent to the actual ending itself. I said I’d take my character through it and form my own opinions because it would be a fair way to judge the game. And I liked it. In fact loved it. Came together really well. “OH OUR CHOICES DIDN’T AFFECT THE GAME!” Well, they did. In terms of missions throughout the game, the way war assets are acquired, who you meet and associate with and so on. Your choices helped form the game you played.
The endings were not ‘different’ for each choice (only the colour of the laser changed and the way the reapers would be destroyed or controlled or whatever) and your choices of previous games were not exactly maximised to it’s full potential, but the end result still turned out great.
What did I take from the ending? Could it be a hallucination? Is Shepard really dead if it is a hallucination? Could he be indoctrinated I don’t know, but hey, we’ll see. Maybe it’ll be made clear with more DLC packs.
End Note: I don’t get why people complained about it and made so much drama as if Bioware fucked your girlfriends/boyfriends. But whatever, different strokes for different folks. But this is just my opinion. Please don’t try and force your opinions on me about this. I liked the ending. Not as bad as what everyone’s saying.
Sad to see the series come to an end…or does it? On another note, shooting the Illusive Man with the renegade option was good. But then Anderson died. Then I was like: “SOMETHING WRONG…I HOLD MY HEAD…ANDERSON GONE…OUR NIGGA DEEEEEAD!”
Now I’m just babbling.
Wrapped the fuck up.
